Curtis Graham - Director
Raised in a Photographic family, Curtis started taking pictures at age 15. He attended Los Angeles Art Center College of Design, which started a career in advertising photography. After a highly successful career in advertising photography, clients asked him if he could achieve the same quality in commercials. This launched Curtis' film career. He then went on to attend The American Film Institute. At AFI Curtis received the Mary Pickford Award Scholarship. His Master Thesis film The Blue Men starring Estelle Parsons went on to receive a Student Emmy and Academy Award. It is listed as one of the most award winning shorts of 1990. Curtis also received the Focus Award for Cinematography for The Blue Men, allowing him to pursue narrative work as Director/Director of Photography.
Curtis has won many accolades for his work in advertising including: N.Y. Art Director, Norma, National Addys, and the Clio Award. His work has appeared in many national publications including Town & Country, Esquire, Print, and Communication Arts.
His Production Company, GreyHouse Films has produced many successful Feature, Television and Documentary projects including the feature films Onieric, Father Eddy, Misconceptions, Prime of your Life, Getting Out, The Glass Window, and The Investigator, as well as the PBS documentaries The Life and Times of John & Mable Ringling and The Silent Majority. In television Curtis shot the pilot for the Florida Historic western Dry Creek and NBC's Angels the Mysterious Messengers.
The Investigator was recently listed in IMDB (the Internet Movie Data Base) as one of the top 40 Faith Based films of all time with the highest rating (8.1) of all 40 films.
Curtis just finished the production of Oloibiri, a political thriller filming in Nigeria. He continues to direct and shoot narrative and commercial projects under his production company GreyHouse Films.
